Using the Forum Image Uploader exension

This extension allows the easy upload of forum images from within the ACP. To do so, follow these steps:
  • Login to the ACP of your phpBB installation
  • Go to the Forums tab
  • Select Upload forum images from the sidebar at the left-hand side of the page
From here you can select the files you wish to upload; to select multiple files at once, you must hold down the Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (macOS) button whilst selecting the files. As well as allowing the upload of .jpg.jpeg.png, and .gif images, you can also upload .zip archived containing the forum images you wish to upload. The images in the .zip archive will be automatically unzipped and placed in the correct location for use.

After you have uploaded your desired forum images you must enable them for use. To do so:
  • Select Manage forums from the sidebar (again, under the Forums tab)
  • Click the green cog corresponding to the forum/category you want to add an image to - you may have to navigate through your categories/forums (by clicking on the forum/category name) to get to sub-forums and and sub-categories
  • Select a Forum image from the dropdown box. A preview of the selected image will appear to help you choose the correct one.
  • Select Submit to save your selection
